I think we're doing better now! Last week I took 7 children into the doctors, and this week I only had to take 4! While I am so thankful for doctors and insurance to help pay for them and medicines, may we be ever mindful that only God can heal! God directed our calendar and schedules to be cleared to nurse everyone back to health, and I am so thankful that I can look back and laugh, shake my head, and praise Him that though it's hard for families our size to endure illnesses, it's such a blessing to be a part of this family! Now, I'm certain we are on a up swing because everyone joined in to participate in a water fight! A real Kunkel summer tradition!

Lydia (who took 14 steps today!) was not happy to see me get wet! She however loved a gentle drip on her toes! Ben loved getting people wet, but wasn't too happy on the return! Life lessons are the hardest!

all about Emily

Caterpillar hanging in A "J".
Caterpillar in the chrysalis.
I planted these "bachlor button's!

Aug. 19, I (Emily) was riding my bike around our garden, which is some-thing i do every day. Well, as i was going by the milk-weed that was growing between our fence
some-thing caught my eye, some-thing that I longed to find! Some-thing about a inch
long, yellow and black striped. A MONARCH CATERPILLAR!!!!
So I brought it inside and put it in a jar with some water and milk weed. We all loved to watch it eat and eat and eat and get really fat! It was a really hungry caterpillar!
Next week I'm starting 4th grade! And I will be turning 10 on the 10th of Sept! How exciting a golden birthday and double digits all in one birthday!!!!!

Happy Birthday

Monday was Robbie's birthday! He turned 15! Robbie, Matthew, Joseph, and Benjamin celebrated by getting sick! He wasn't even able to have his 'traditional' apple pie. :( They are still sick with a virus - sore throat, fever, and a nasty cough. And Daniel and Emily have now been added to the list.
