We have a blog!!!

It took us awhile to get here but we now have a blog!

This past week has been full of berries. Tuesday I (Megan) went with my friend Sara and Emily to pick strawberries, we picked 4 flats in about an hour. I tell you though, put 3 blondes in a strawberry patch and it gets scary. We contemplated going to ask "Where are the tomatoes? I've been all over this field and I just can't find those tomatoes!" - or picking all the leaves - "Look at all this nice spinach!"

Then Wednesday we picked up my Great-Grandma and all of us went picking. We picked 59 quarts - besides what Ben and Lydia ate! We made lots of jam, strawberry shortcake, and tried a few new recipes. Daniel made Navajo Fry Bread w/ strawberry filling and that was good. I tried strawberry fudge and it flopped. ;-)

Today Daniel, Emily, Matthew and I picked the first ripe black raspberries! I think we're going to try a cobbler later.
