Anyway, today's St. Patrick's Day (you might have already known that). We're not Irish, but who can resist the urge to wear green and encourage others to do so?
A tradition around here is turning our food green. Last year it was green eggs and green biscuits - trust me, if you've never eaten a green biscuit topped with strawberry jam, you're missin' out. That would have to fall under 'one-of-the-grossest-looking-things-I've-ever-eaten'. They still tasted good, they just looked ... gross.
Mom's suggested that we 'have cereal and turn the milk green'. We kids looked at each other, raised our eyebrows, and shook our heads. There are limits.
Dad took Mom to her doctors appointment, so they ended up not being here for lunch. So since we were fending for ourselves, we decided on french toast. And, of course, we turned it green:
